PICU specializes in family-centered care of critically ill children. Families are welcome at the child's bedside and will find many support spaces throughout the unit, such as family waiting areas, parent-sleep rooms and breast-feeding rooms.
The PICU is the section of the hospital that provides sick children with the highest level of medical care.
